Since 1992 the larger than life street installations of Bettina Flitner cause sensations among people and the media and trigger passionate discussions. For the media they are sometimes "grimaces of violence" that want only one thing: to kill" (BILD-Zeitung), and other times "living pictures full of poetry, a rare balance between pathos and normality" (DIE ZEIT). This book gives an overview of the works of Bettina Flitner for the first time. It covers the most important photographic works from 1990 to 1997, from journalistic reports via the essays to the installations in public space.
