Cologne artist Bettina Flitner receives the photo award of the Michael Horbach Foundation

Cologne (15 March 2005). The Michael Horbach Foundation hands out a photo award on Friday April 15th, 2005 . Recipient is the Cologne artist Bettina Flitner. The 10.000 Euro photo award is granted every two years. The award ceremony takes place in connection with an exhibition of Bettina Flitners works at 7 pm in the 68elf (forum for young art e.V.) MediaPark 4e, 50670 Köln. The encomium is being held by Ulrich Tillmann.

The Michael Horbach Foundation was founded in 2000  after the sale of HORBACHConsulting to the AWD Holding AG -  with a capital of one million DM. The foundations intention is to promote charitable goals and to support cultural projects which are particularly worthy of promotion.

The entrepreneur Michael Horbach has taken over the gallery from Hans Jürgen Müller (Mariposa) in 1986 and has represented artists such as Heinz Zolper, Blalla W.Hallmann, Thomas Huber und Marie-Jo Lafontaine until 1991. Under the title "The Other Beauty" his collection of photographs was exhibited in 1995 at the Rheinisches Landesmuseum in Bonn among others.
