They travelled by ship the »Road of Mandalay«. They have been at Inle Lake and relaxed under the palm trees of Ngapali. They have been in the golden Swedagon Pagoda. They met the burmese people and shared their lives. |
![]() | BoatpeopleA boat from Burma on the Rhine. The photographer Bettina Flitner bought the wooden fishing vessel on Lake Inle and transported it back from Myanmar to Germany. Here on the banks of the Rhine, Flitner photographed a diverse collection of individuals and groups of people. Casting managers and drag queens, nuns and the homeless into a mise-en-scène, she orchestrated a lyrical, poetic procession of people on their travels. English/German. |
